We’ve owned the treadmill for one week and it does the job. A few complaints but preference more than anything, to bring the platform it takes loosening the bolt at the bottom and retighten which can be difficult for someone with weaker hands. A pull and design would’ve been better I feel. Syncing online and registering is the only way it will operate is not very appealing. There should be a manual option. But it works, the elevation options is great and it gives progress readings. All good things. I would recommend but warn that the page says a Mat included and I have yet to receive the mat. I send an email and I was told it wasn’t sent and not further information as to whether it was or not.
I really love my bike.. I just had trouble in the beginning but I’m very please with it
Works and looks as advertised
I’ve been using this treadmill and overall, I really like it. The biggest pros for me are how stable, sturdy, smooth and QUIET it is. I previously had a much smaller treadmill that was more comparable to a walking pad, and this feels significantly more supportive and secure. The motor is so quiet that honestly, I hear my feet hitting the treadmill more than I hear the treadmill itself! 😂 That alone gets 5 stars from me.
I also love that it’s compact without feeling too small. I can take comfortable, wide strides, and it doesn’t take up a ton of space. The 6% incline is enough to make you put in some WORK, and I like that it goes up to 10 mph and has a 350 lb weight capacity, which means different people in my household can comfortably use it.
For me, this is a really good basic treadmill for someone getting back into exercise, walking, jogging, cross-training, or just wanting another cardio option at home.
Now for the areas I think could definitely be improved.
The manual incline is probably my biggest complaint. To adjust it, you have to tip the treadmill and pull out pins that can be difficult to remove. When I removed the second pin, the incline bar folded down unexpectedly and almost pinched my finger. Now that I know how it works, I can manage it, but I definitely prefer the convenience and safety of an automatic incline.
I also really wish there were a digital display on the treadmill itself. To easily see your workout metrics, you basically need to use the PitPat app. The included remote does have a small digital display, but you have to press the button to see your information and there’s no backlight, so it can be difficult to read, especially in a darker room. Even simply adding a backlight to the remote would be a nice improvement.
Another frustration is the pause feature when tracking a workout in the app. If I need to briefly stop to grab something, pressing pause essentially ends the workout instead of allowing me to continue where I left off. I would really like to see this corrected so you can pause and resume without losing your workout progress.
And lastly… please include a water bottle holder! 😂 There’s a spot for a phone or tablet, but no built-in place for a water bottle unless you purchase an additional accessory. Hydration is pretty basic when you’re exercising, so I really think a water bottle holder should come standard. I ended up hanging a small gift bag from the handle to hold my water bottle and remote while I watch TV. It works, but I shouldn’t have to MacGyver a cup holder on a brand-new treadmill. 😂
Overall, the treadmill itself feels very well made. It’s sturdy, smooth, extremely quiet and gives me a great workout. I’m happy with my purchase and plan to keep it. I just think there are some convenience and design features that DeerRun could improve.
If you’re looking for a solid, compact treadmill for walking, jogging and general home workouts, I think this is a great option. If you’re a serious everyday treadmill runner or really value things like automatic incline, an onboard display and more built-in features, I would recommend spending the extra money for one of DeerRun’s upgraded models.
Very convenient and I’m enjoying it a lot.
