I'm a 5'5" 164 lb female. I have a Nordic Track but it always hurt my legs and was too big for the living area of the house so it went in the basement and gets used in spurts. I wanted something to walk on when watching TV in the evening that was fairly quiet and not as big. This is actually the perfect size and easy to move as it will go through any standard door in your house. Plus it is very quiet and smooth when walking and running. It did need oiled and the belt needed adjusted when I got it but has been fine ever since. I have walked and jogged on it. I would not probably recommed high intensity running as it may seem nice but I don't know how long it would hold up to that much abuse. Plus, adjusting the speed is kind of a pain. It would be nice if the console had whole speed increments at least 3-6 mph so its easy to adjust if trying to do some sort of workout without having to watch the hand held speed adjuster and getting the speed where you want it as it does not adjust smoothly. And it also goes blank after so long of not using.
What I don't like: Needs a mute button for the beeping. Hand rails need to fold up or something as I keep hitting my nuckles on them walking and running and I do not flail my arms. And as I said, whold number speeds would be nice on the console.
Otherwise, it seems nice. Oh, and the mph do seem to be in-line with the ones on my Nordic Track. I had purchased another walking pad (different company I returned as it was supper loud) and it was not accurate as 4mph was really 3mph, so on and so forth. So this does seem correct if that's a concern. And I thought I was getting puprle. Apparently it's blue. Looking at it looks purple but take a picture with your phone and it is clearly blue. So I call it Blurple!!
So far, this has all been great! I ordered and received it on the same week! It looks just like the pics! My whole house is Halloweeny so it fits perfectly in my home! I am excited to be able to continue my weight loss journey (30lbs down now!) and being able to still get my walks in thru out winter now.
I lose 40 pounds on a trampoline 5 yrs ago, then I went into a depression because my mom passed away. Unfortunately last yr I had gained all of my weight back and more. My doctor had me in water therapy it has helped a lot, I know sometime I push myself to do better. Next yr I will be 65 I do not want to be overweight and with the new treadmill, I will get the exercise I need to lose it. If I have to lose 1-2 pounds a month I will be happy because I want to keep it off. I pick purple because of my mom, I received my treadmill this month, right now I like what I see. Today is 10/08/2025 I will come back to post a video in 6 months & update my review, once I’ve had it for awhile.
It was easy to put together and handles my weight (290lbs) just fine. It actually has a higher resistance than the ones at Planet Fitness so I can actually feel my arms working. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.
Love the A5. Perfect for my needs. Does not take up much place and easily rolls under my bed when not in use. Highly recommend.
